Job Description

A Territory Manager is responsible for the Sales Management of the Assigned Territory and needs to ensure Sales Budgets are met for Qtr and Year, Showing Growth Qtr/ Yoy; Ensure Product/ Customer Knowledge,Coverage and Good Sales Funnel in alignment with Budgets, Appoint Distributors for the Markets as Required, Work in Tandem with Clinical and Service Teams for Attending the Market needs – Both Education and Pre/ Post Sales/ Services, Collecting AR to ensure Business Healthiness and Continuously Report the Market Actions and Updates including Competition to RSM and Seek Support to enable his/her own Performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with Companies Vision, Mission and Policies
  • Meet Monthly/ Quarterly and Year Budgets
  • Become Expert in Products, Portfolio, Customer and Market Knowledge
  • Assess the Market Potential, Opportunities and Threats
  • Generate Sales Funnel – Cold Calls, Distributor Sales Teams, Existing Clients
  • Ensure Coverage to both Existing Customers/ Clients and New Opportunities
  • Map Key Accounts and have a Business Plan for Consistent Revenues from them
  • Appoint Distributors as Required, Develop Dist Sales Teams
  • Collection of AR from Direct / Distributor Accounts as per Timelines
  • Ensure Safety of Company Properties – IT Assets/ Demo Equipment’s
  • Plan Engagement Activities – VM, Pre/Post Sales Demos, Training both Internal and External Customers - with CAS
  • Address Customer Needs, Post Sales Coordination’s with Service Team
  • Sending Timely Reports to ensure Business Transparency and Communication

Skill & Experience

  • Candidate should have 6-10 Years of experience in Handling Medical
  • equipment’s & have worked in Government ; Corporate accounts in Mumbai . (Consumable’s /Pharma experience is not considered ) .
  • This Candidate will be designated at Mumbai HQ, will be handling Govt ,Private and corporate
  • accounts , This role might be given part of M.P Areas as well
  • This Job involves Travel within city and outstation.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Candidate’s Basic qualification should be BSc or Engineering background. Additional qualification can be an added advantage.
  • Product Knowledge- Candidate should have experience in handling capital equipments.
  • Customer Knowledge – Candidate should be from Ultrasound stream or critical care equipment preferably if not he/she must
  • have experience in critical care , Anesthesia or Radiology equipments .
  • Competition Knowledge– Pricing, Model, IB etc
  • Tender Knowledge – Candidate should have earlier worked for at least 3 years in Govt Business of Maharashtra /M.P and must have handled Specs, Pre Bids, Past Pricing Trends, Tech Bid and Commercial Bid Processes
  • Key Accounts Information – Should have handled corporate and Medical college Business ,with good rapport /relations with End users , Purchase head &  Biomedical eng.

Skills/Abilities

  • Selling Skills – Cold Calling, Opening Conversations, Probing, Summarizing, SPIN etc..
  • Negotiating Skills – Setting up Price Expectations, Establishing Features and Benefits, Identifying
  • Key Stakeholders, Having a Blue Print of the Account, Work on Win-Win Propositions
  • Interpersonal Skills
